Babadook follows the life of a single mother who is plagued by the death of her husband but eventually finds out that her son’s fear of a non-existent monster is actually not so non-existent after all. The Babadook is a relatively new movie, so you should still be able to find it on Netflix in 4K.

Paranormal Activity is a low-budget horror film that became a phenomenon. Using the found footage style, the film centers around a couple who are haunted by a supernatural event in their home. And it does an amazing job of incrementally building the suspense and increasing the intensity of every scene.
