Authorities in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, are investigating the death of a man outside Taft Middle School.
Police were called to the scene at around 8:30 a.m. following a report of a medical emergency. Upon arriving, they found the man unresponsive. First responders declared him dead at the scene. The identity of the man has not been disclosed, and it is unclear if he had any connection to the school. In a statement, staff at the Cedar Rapids Community School District indicated that they do not believe any students witnessed the incident, but some may have seen police and emergency vehicles on school property.
